life boats?

dose any body know the name fo those life boats that drop strait down off the ships and they are motor rised or what kind of life boats they are please help thank you

There are called, "free fall" lifeboats. They float up after the fall, automatically. They don't dive very deeply. They are sealed before they are dropped and all the passengers are strapped inside so they don't move around and upset the balance of the boat or injure themselves. They are motor propelled to get away from the ship.
