Which is better for my engine, regular oil or synthetic.?

Go with the synthetic oil. It has a higher burning point and will last longer and has a better flow when cold.

Depends on how old the car is and how many miles it has. If the engine has too many miles, the thinner synthetic will make the seals leak and may cause oil to get past the rings.
