I am on a contract with someone and he is the holder of the contract (as in his name is on it)...do I need him to get my phone or can I just go in and get a new phone? Please let me know..thanks

Here is a link to cell phones without having to sign up for a new plan.
The company is of quality. I have bought numerous items from them and their shipping is great!

as long as your old enough and have a good credit rating you should be able to get a new contract in your own name. tell the holder that you wish to terminate the contract. when taking out a contract ask what length of warranty comes with the phone. a study a couple yaers ago in britain showed that most phones dont last beyond 6 months before problems start. i've just taken a phone out and it comes with a 2 year warranty.

He will have to go in to get a new phone if your name isn't on the account. In order to not extend your contract, you will probably have to pay regular price for a phone. if you have insurance, you can pretend like you lost the phone and just pay the insurance fee and get a new phone, no contact extension needed.
