Because like the iPod, Apple wants to screw you on a new battery they will sell you.
While this is a rather blunt answer it is the truth.

Why would you need to? It is rechargable. When/ if the battery dies, you can take it into the Apple Store and have it fixed at the Genius Bar.

it cant be switched because its sealed in the iphone and they dont sell batterys for the iphone

it can but you need to have an apple person do it...you wont be able to yourself.
