If I could have any video in the world,
it would be one of my mom and dad
singing "Old Rugged Cross" back
in the WW II era.
Thank you for asking.

Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent
My husband, who was born in communist Hungary, has an interesting story behind this song.
When Hungary went under communist rule, many religious songs were reworded and had religion taken out of them. My husband spent his childhood singing the melody of the song with with lyrics about a rabbit.
When he came to the U.S. he was very surprised to learn that what he thought was a children's song was really a sacred hymn.

Are you from the UK? In the US we do not put a 'u' in favorite! I have lots of favorite hymns.....such as 'How Great Thou Art' - 'When Morning Gilds the Skies' - A Mighty Fortress' - 'What A Friend We Have in Jesus' - 'Saviour, Again To Thy Dear Name' - 'Fairest Lord Jesus' - 'My Hope is Built'. I could go on and on......
