The first day of my last period was 24th May and i still havnt come on yet. I have been trying for a baby and my periods are not always regular, but i have done 3 pregnancy tests with clear blue, and they have all come back negative. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before and found out they were pregnant, as i dont know what to believe. Im showing no signs that my period is due and i didnt know weather to get a blood test done to confirm if i am pregnant or not. Any answers from health professionals will be appreciated too. Thanks

They are pretty accurate the other way round, as they detect the pregnancy hormone (PGC I think) and as it is not present when you are not pregnant, if it says you are, then you usually are. However, I have known of people who have done several negative tests and been pregnant all along. You are certainly late enough to visit your nurse/doctor and get a test done at the surgery. Not only that, but if you are not pregnant, and you are trying, if your periods are as irregular as this, you should see a doctor anyway and get checked over, just to make sure everything is okay and get the right advice to maximise your chances on getting pregnant.

I know it is perverse, but so many people trying really hard to have a baby suddenly start skipping periods, for no apparent reason. Definately see your doctor and if nothing else, find out one way or the other if you are or aren't. Best of luck.

Okay these usually not wrong. Human error makes the results not valid. So if you test when and how the test says you should then assume the answer it gives you is correct. You can test a million times the results won't change. Like I said human error usually causes a false neg. you test too soon and get a neg. then you retest and it's positive. The test either works or it doesn't it reads what your body puts out no HCG means there's no HCG. That could mean there is no HCG @ that time and testing later may prove different or it could mean there is no HCG period. 3 test later take it to mean your not preg.

Well most home tests are about 99.9% accurate now, but to increase accuracy try testing the first time you go in the morning. If your periods are irregular it could make the test less accurate. I would wait a week and if you still haven't gotten your period test again...

I would just relax and wait another week before testing again. Once you are two weeks late and you haven't gotten your period and you still test negative, then see a doctor. A lot of times, they don't even bother until you are two weeks late.

i used clear blue test and it turned out right. its one of the hpt that have been out for the longest time. usually their 99 % right but i also know people that had to have blood tests to see if they were because it didnt show up on a hpt. give it a few more days and then test again if nothing shows up call your ob/ or reg dr. and see what they can do

good luck

u need to test the first wee of the day for best result.
seems unlikely to get 3 negative at this stage and for it to be positive..
give it another week if u r not always regular
