No I don't. The NBA draft helped prove this by having Durant and Oden go to Western Conference teams. Other than the Boston Celtics of old and the Bulls of the 90's, no other Eastern conference team has dominated like the Western conference has. Oops, forgot about the Pistons. They did win back- to- back titles in 89 and 90. But since MJ's retirement from the Bulls in 1999 only 2 Eastern conference teams (Detroit and Miami) have won the title and I can't think of any team in the east that's close to challenging anyone in the west. Any team in the east can get to the Finals but they won't win it all. And if you take away MJ's Bulls in the 1990's just think how much MORE DOMINANT the west would've been had it not been for the Bulls winning 6 titles.

NO!!!!!!!! But if there is going to be any team that stands a chance i would have to say the Cavs. Lebron is without a doubt the best thing in basketball. And all you kobe fans can disagree. But kobe is a whiney little bi tch. Kobe wanted to take the lakers to greatness by himself and now that he cant he wants out. Thats the guy i want on my team for sure.. Listen lebron gets team mates involved, now if they could get that big man they desperatly need,or anyone who can help lebron the sky's the limit. I say in 2 maybe 3 years the east will become the dominant conference. They got all the young talent, the west is getting old. Dwade and Lebron will be doing battle like magic-bird soon, hopefully put some excitement in the eastern conference finals.

We need to wait for washington and chicago and see their season results then we can see if they have a chance because they are both a very talented young(er) team.
I think if washington can get their act together by the playoffs and get a top 3 seed in the east they might win. Last years playoffs dont have any say in what will happen next year. Missing Gilbert Arenas and Caron Butler getting injured on any team will ruin there playoff chances. Chicago faced a very weakened Miami but thats not all it. I think they would have won either way so it doesnt really matter. Cleveland might be able to after all that momentum they got against the Pistons maybe they can use it for an influence to say they just need one more good player preferably a point guard to compliment Lebron James( If they could have got A I that would have been perfect) and help them win the Finals
as of now I think Washington is the number one candidate then Chicago, Cleveland, then Miami

We first gotta' see the young teams like Chicago and Washington get outta' the first and second rounds. I guess maturity and luck with injuries (Wizards) is the biggest thing. With Noah and Wallace in the middle and their guards they could be real nice next year. Washington was the only East team to average over 100 a game I think.
No question the western conf. teams have better records but they're better because the best big men are there. The east has the better guards and scorers overall I think.
In the NBA now, the teams with the best big men usually win out.

Both the Bulls and the Wizards are young and can win against any team. Both teams proved this last year. If Washington hadn't had two devestating injuries to one superstar (gilbert arenas) and one allstar( caron butler), then it could have been a completly different picture. Washington could have beaten cleveland. They kept it close this year even with those injuries. They were cheated last year (cough cough....travel....cough cough). The Bulls are really good as well. The bulls just need a little more help scoring, and the wizards need help in the defense department. Either one could have made a more competitive series than the boring rout of cleveland.

i like the Lakers over the nuggets interior the WCF and the Cavs over the Magic. interior the finals the Lakers will beat the Cavs, the lakers are too deep and kobe will outduel Lebron. Im additionally hoping the cavs dont win it because of the fact as a annoyed Knick fan, everybody right here in NYC is conversing approximately lebron and if he wins the chip, he will prob renounce w/ Cleveland

the cavs are good but only because of lebron if lebron were to leave they would be hopeless, he needs backup, and kobe only wants outta LA because all his teammates blow. and the wizards aren't a bad team but they just had to many important players out last year. don't belive me? just look at the previous year in the first round the cavs weren't able to just crush them as ppl would think. and nathen lebron is not currently thee best player kobe is still better than him BUT he's getting old and vince carter is still good but he's getting old and just plain out lazy. also no i think that the east is without a doubt hopeless for now
