Today didn't feel any different, and when I have to go out, the only time I will miss it is when I go for a drink or coffee in a cafe or pub somewhere or a restaurant, but it wont bother me too much as its a disgusting poisonous habit, and those who don't smoke have the right not to be smoked all over, and I am going to have to pack it in anyway, am going to pop into a bookies though just to experience clear air in one. Thanks.

i was working today i smoked a ciggies at 9 am and could light up again until gone 5 30 i thought i would suffer but actually was surprised to find how easy it was.
i think my 1st real test will come tomorrow when I'm meeting some mates in the pub. never have had a drink without a ciggies i think tomorrow night will be dead weird.
why do cigarettes smell so bad? so blind people know where the cool people are hanging out

My husband has not stopped going on about smoking all day long. We went to our nearest shopping centre that has been non-smoking for 2 years, and he has never complained, but today he has moaned about how daft it all is. However he normally goes out on a sunday, but has decided to stay in, even though he doesn't smoke in the house, he isn't prepared to smoke outside a pub.

My brother went into town for a drink. He said the bars that are usually full, were dead. Seems like a lot of people are staying home and having a drink because of the ban
P.S. Bit hypocritical of the government, considering they can still smoke in the corridors and bar of The Houses of Parliament

Well to be honest it won't feel that different, as there was a lot of places you couldn't smoke in anyway!!!!
My hubby smokes too and he won't be able to have a smoke in the van even though he is the only one inhaling it lol don't understand that one lmao!!!!
I will feel it when i go to the pub though which won't be too bad in the summer but come winter...........
I think they should cater for both and then everyone is happy!!!!

Today doesnt feel any different, it will only hit me when i go out to a pub and have to go outside to smoke. Im simply gonna avoid pubs, its cheaper to invite my mates round and drink at home anyway, and i never call last orders.

I'm a non smoker, so I'm biassed, but even I will miss the smell of smoke sometimes. Its kind of part of a Saturday night isn't it.
Pubs will feel a bit clinical from now on.
You can still smoke in France can't you. Day trips here we come!

Although I love the smoking ban (Scotland, we are so far ahead of you guys) if you hang around the bookies for long enough you will detect a few, even more noxious smells. thankfully smellyfartgas doesn't cause cancer though!!
