I am going to buy a laptop that has this processor below. What would it be in Intel terms ?


AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor TK-53

What would this processor be in Intel terms ?
for example ( 1.8 , 2.0 ) etc.



Could you tell me if this laptop is worth 500 $ ?
HP
1 gig of ram
120 hard drive
17 inch screen
wireless LAN

if it does not have a dedicated graphics card i dont think its worth anything. that does not tell me anything about the amd cpu. give me a number like 5200+ or sumthing

Yeah, it's worth 500 bucks. If I were you, I'd go for a newer Core 2 processor from intel.

I think you are referring to a Turion, and AMD Turion processors aren't really all that great, compared to intel's offerings today. I'd go with intel. Period.

Well you are considering 64x machine, instead of 32-bit, so now you have to consider Intel Itanium, not Pentium processors. You're probably looking for Intel Itanium 2 Dual Core.

I'm not up to snuff on AMD notebook processors, but whatever it is, it is definitely worth $500.

I think it's 1.7 (times 2 cores of course)

and yes! the laptop is quite a deal!!
