Meaning: you love cats. a lot. your significant other likes dogs and wishes to have some. You're not super crazy about dogs due to them being needy and crapping on the floor a lot.
What's the best way to compromise?

I think a small dog for them and a cat for you and maybe they can exist together... Worth a try if they are special to you.

i dont believe in putting a dog outside all the time so my bet would be get a small dog. i have shih tzu's they are very much like cats they arent hyper and they lay around like little rugs.

I love all animals and have both cats and dogs, so it isn't really a problem with me. I have dated guys who had a problem with my animals and needless to say, my pets were chosen over them.

Well, I'm a dog person, and my wife is a cat person... she just forced the cat on me... if that helps.
