Using the IRAC Method what would be the Issue, Rule, Application, and Conclusion for Brown vs Board?

Issue: what is the question or questions that the court was asked to decide
Rule: how did they decide it
A is Analysis, not Application: how did the court analyze the question in terms of precedent and the constitution
Conclusion: the court specifically rejected Plessy v. Ferguson and held that separate but equal is unconstitutional, remanding for further consideration.

A quick - and not recommended for law students - way to pick all this up is to read a version of the case that has headnotes.

Don't forget the recent Supreme Court decision that recently negated parts of Brown . . . I think the ruling came out about two months ago . . .
