IT'S THE GLASSES....

Most people don't see what's right under their noses...

2007-07-01 10:56:01 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

Because you never see the two of them together, so you can't really compare them. It is a pretty amazing coincidence, though, isn't it...? I mean, I never thought about it before, myself, but that is so cool! Do you think that Clark might be able to pick up some extra money appearing in a movie as Superman...? Of course, since they look so much alike, it is not surprising that they became pals. Did they ever show the story of how they first met...?

The common sense reply: If everyone did, half of what amounts to a plot in the comics would disappear.

The D.C. comics reply: Superman uses subtle unconscious hypnosis that makes people view Kent as frail and weak - his clutzy performance and glasses just reinforces that and makes him someone no one would even consider as a possible hero.

My reply: People are too busy looking at the flaming red speedos to even notice Superman's face. Lois went a step up - when he flew by she commented "Nice 'S'".

Its gotta be the glasses, and the fact that he acts like a klutz and coward, going as far as to pretend to pass out after a mugger shoots at Lois in the first movie. Its also puzzled me as to how no one has ever noticed that Clark and Superman are never in the same place at the same time.

It's those dorky glasses. No one would EVER suspect that anyone wearing them could possibly be superman. Besides, superman's underpants on the outside absolutely complete the disguise.

in case you have actual seen the two then, you're a believer perfect? the rationalization you in no way see them interior a similar room is via the fact Jesus repels devil. devil does something he can to smash people the two bodily, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. while Jesus is talked approximately as in prayer or in simple terms by asserting His call, all the evils of devil are vanquished. You = Clark Kent devil = Bizarro Jesus = Superman

there was a story a few years ago where Clark wondered the same thing. he proved there's a subtle subconscious psychic command telling everyone that Clark looks more frail and meek than Superman.
this was pre-crisis so i'm not sure if they carried this story through

people do look different without their glasses on. When i first stopped wearing my specs people only just recognised me. Plus superman had i curl that came down onto his forehead, which did disguise him abit more.

well, the glasses help, but also it'll ruin the story if they realize easily, so for the story's sake, they don't have people realize it, since it'll end the conflict too soon....
