Try eating some bland foods - crackers, bread, broth, things like that. I was very nauseous throughout most of my first trimester, and I used SeaBands, which helped me quite a bit. They're about $10 and you can get them at any pharmacy. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Here's what's worked for me:
1. Never let your tummy get completely empty. You can acheive this by eating healthy mini meals about 6 times a day. Sounds stupid, but ti really helps.
2. Eat about 4 saltines or ginger snaps before you get up in the morning. (Keep a tupperware near the bed)
3. Take your prenatal vitamin at night (also, ask your doc about giving you one that makes you less sick)
4. Give the sea bands a try. Properly placed, they make the nausea more tolerable.
5. Sip almost flat ginger ale or a ginger tea. Ginger settles the stomach.
6. Avoid peppermint and other highly acidic foods.
7. Just remember that this does not last forever! Hang in there!

Your doctor can prescribe something that can help reduce nausea and is fetus-safe.

During my last pregnancy, I was so sick I kept next to nothing down and nearly lost the baby and myself as a result. One thing I found that I could take in small sips at a time without throwing it up was strawberry flavored milk. Serious!
All kinds of "helpful" people suggested Saltine crackers and other bland things but those were all thrown up.
Nestle's Strawberry milk was the only thing that helped. After being able to sip on that for a few days, I finally had the strength in my stomach to eat some solids.
Since then, I have had several friends who had severe morning sickness with their pregnancies and had success when I suggested strawberry milk to them.

hi hun with both my pregnancy with my daughter and this pregnany i ahve sufffered terribly with morning sickness. i have tried everything thats been recommended by people i.e ginger, crackers etc etc but nothing seemed to work.

just try different food and if you find one that agrees with you stick to it until you start to feel better.the only thing i could eat were burgers from mcdonalds or some other fast food place and 9 times out of 10 it wouldnt stay down for long but it was only thing that made me feel better.

also if your having difficulty keeping water down try ice cubes as this seems to help.

if you cant keep anything down at all then a last resort is to visit your doctor and get some anti sickness tablets for it.

i coped with it during my first pregnancy but this time round i couldnt keep anything down and was very weak and had to look after my daughter all day every day while my partner worked so i needed the tablets and thankfully they worked good enough for me to eat something.

i hope it wears of for you soon. with my last pregnancy i had it til 20 weeks with this one it lasted til 18 weeks. you'll get through it as hard as it may seem now.

luv leigh,hollie and bump x x x

Try snacking on saltine crackers when you first wake up. Don't get out of bed, so keep them at the bedside and when you wake up, munch on them. Also, if you are taking prenatal vitamins, take them before you go to bed because some people say that they are the cause for the nausea. Maybe you could try some plain toast as well?

anything with ginger, my friend had really bad morning sickness and the gp told her to try very diluted lucozade to give her energy, it helped but she did have to have a prescription because she couldnt keep anything down! but its worth a try, also keep a packet of plain biscuits or crackers at your bed side and try and eat two before you get out of bed, i found plain toast helped me try something thats dry, make sure you have something before bed too that way your not so hungry when you wake. i know its horrible i had it untill 36 weeks with my first. peppermint tea can help too. try and ease off greasy foods, i found they set it off also smoking makes morning sickness worse, ive been told, so if you smoke then try and stop. hope that helps, good luck

Call your doctor- they can prescribe meds for you to stop the nausea and vomiting. Especially because you are not able to keep food down, they will prescribe. I had a terrible time all pregnancy with our daughter- and it saved me!

Also, call on sunday- they can prescribe over the phone to the pharmacy you are nearest to.

Good luck!

Thankfully nausea usually passes by the 4th month.Try potatoe chips (Baked would be better I think) or the old stand-by, saltines. These worked for me .
