Surprisingly i would say Carl Crawford. Even though he is on a horrible team the Devil Rays. he is a phenomenal player. if u have the chance to watch him, watch him. he can hit for average he is a stealing threat every time he gets on base and for his size he has good power. and with that speed in the outfield he makes a really good fielder. i think Crawford might not be the best player in the league actually hes probably not, but he is up in the top and hes one heck of a player.

I'd have to say Grady Sizemore is the best all-around player...followed by Alex Rodriguez, and somebody that nobody has mentioned yet, but is having a hell of a season so far...Eric Byrnes. An up-and-comer that does it all, is the backstop for LA Dodgers, Russell Martin. He's only a 2nd year player, but he's a great defensive catcher, he hits for power, average and steals bases...not many catchers steal like he does.

If you're talking about all of those qualities, then it has to be Alex Rodriguez, without a doubt. It sucks saying that, since I am not a fan of the Yankees.

If Jose Reyes had power, I'd pick him over A-Rod anydays.

There are also Grady Sizemore, Carlos Beltran, and Vladimir Guerrero.

Vlad Guerrero.

He bats at a high average, hits the ball hard, has a monster arm and great accuracy, and is a good fielder.

After him, Alfonso Soriano.

honestly I don't think there is such a player. Every player has good days, bad days, good plays bad plays ,and are probably considered the best at that position or they wouldn't be where they are today , and they are all human so no one would be the best. There are a ton of good ball players, but I don't think there is a BEST all around player. This is just my opinion and you might get a ton of different responses to this question so this is my answer.

Alex Rodriguez.
I wish I could say "hands down" or "bar none" or something like that, but it's too close. There are several guys who are good enough for consideration.
Still. I like A-Rod for the best all-around.

Whoever is giving A-Rod answers thumbs down needs to put their thumb up someplace smelly. . . .

Hate to say it, but A-Rod.

Follwed by Grady Sizemore or maybe Jose Reyes

"Shoeless" Joe Jackson was the greatest ball-player I ever saw on the diamond...so said Casey Stengel.

Currently, "The Rocket" Roger Clemens is the best pitcher with the best all around stats and Cy Young Awards.

And, much attention for the best ball-player is any body's choice with so many players in contention.
