lol YES!! I actually wondered if he would return out gifts. He didn't. NOW THAT I thought was odd. We had collected TONS of money to pitch in and buy him some really good "parting gifts." When we all realized he was staying we wondered what he would do. Well..... he seemed to keep everything and just go right on without missing a beat. I'll be interested to see what happens the next time he says he's leaving. lol

Perhaps you can tell everyone who does not know already that he will not be attending because of strict dietary requirements and he also feel uncomfortable in social situations where he doesn't know the people very well. Also that your marriage is fine and he is a wonderful husband but just does not feel up to attending the holiday party. You closest co-workers already know this and your need only tell a few more so that everyone knows. You could even do this prior to the day of the party.

Yes that happen to me once. I told the person I was going to miss them and all this stuff......They came back the next week. What made it so bad is it was a person I was happy that was leaving. I was so let down

Listen let me tell you something I feel strange too! Just had my step mother call and tell me that my dad was going into rehab...... so no reason to go just yet. It bites my friend it really does!
