i thought id met a guy who i really liked then one day he just didnt turn up didnt phone text or answer the phone or door to me .i saw him out and he told me to leave him alone didnt give me the time of day i am so hurt and confused as everything did seem fine and now this . is this a common way of being cowardly dumped now adays it is so cruel

dont worry. it is not you. it is him. not having the courage to face you and tell you he is not happy with you, he took the easy way out and dumped you. it happens. to a lot of people including me, pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and start over again.

Some men don't have the strength of character to say goodbye. The only way they can cope is just to cut you out of their life.
Fortunately it is not common, you just met a cad, who has still got a lot to learn.
You were never in his mind. What he had was an image that you filled. You didn't change, his image changed and you no longer filled the bill. You were not needed, not wanted
He is probably completely oblivious of your feelings for him. He probably assumes that because he doesn't care for you that the feelings are mutual. Don't ask for him back, but do make it known to him how much you have been hurt, even if you have to relay the message through a mutual friend.
You can't help your feelings and how people affect you. Much of life and especially love is littered with disappointment and let down, some times it happens to us, and sometimes we're the cause.
The main problem is that meeting that someone special is so difficult. It is not like you can go into the supermarket and pick one off the shelf. No doubt someone has already told you that there are plenty of fish in the sea or pebbles on the beach, as if all you have to do is go and pick one up, like they're on special offer.
First go where you want to go, do what you want to do, and if that means going to all his old haunts, so be it. Just get on with your life and let him get on with his. Don't feel that because he's been silly, you have to alter your habits.
Next write some poetry. This helps you face up to what has happened and is a good way of dealing with it.
Do something constructive or worthwhile, like help in a school or charity. Better than moping about feeling sorry for yourself
Above all avoid meeting Mr oh so Nice on the rebound, give yourself some time to mourn your relationship,- it is your relationship your mourning, not him.
Finally, the perfect man is not out there, in fact I would say, that you can't love a man until you have discovered his faults, and then you can truly say, that you love him for what he is.

People can't be honest because they can't face the truth.
Every bad experience gives you the opportunity to learn from life. You never get to know what true love is until you go through the bad ones. Heal, learn and move on!

I'm sorry that this happened to you. And no, it's not you. He just didn't have the guts to face you and be honest with you. Just don't let this get to you that much. You're better off without him.

I think the answer may be that some people don't like confrontation and it is easier just to walk away than bear the pain of saying "our relationship is over"

yep there are some real cowards out there. its better to be told straight thats it over than to make someone wonder what the hell is going on. looks like youv'e met your first rat!!!

its a cowards way out. allow him. if he dont care enough about you then why should you be wasting your time over him. You can do so much better.
