Mac' s are the BEST computer on the market. They are always #1 in customer service and reliability. They can do anything a PC can do, even run windowsif you absolutely have to and do it better than a PC. The MAC OSX is the most stable OS out there, no viruses to worry about and very user friendly. Some people will tell you that MAC's cost more. But MAC's come with everything, nothing to add on and tons of great free software like iLife that is not available on a PC. To get a PC with video editing software like iMovie, iDvd, and iPhoto, with a built in web cam, woud actually make the cost of the PC more than the MAC. I just used iPhoto to create a 50 page book of pictures I took on vacation in Ireland. It is a hard bound, full color book that took me an hour to make. I had the finished product from Apple in 5 days. I've used both PC and Mac. Buy a Mac and you will wonder why you ever used a PC? I've had a MAC since the first one came out, but was forced to use a PC at work. Three years ago they finally switched the entire company to MAC's.

The latest mac is really a PC with a different look. It's overpriced even though it's using the same parts as pc's with windows. Only 2% of the world uses mac, 90%+ using pc and windows. If you like headaches, no software to get, hard to get parts, get the mac. If you want it to be able to run programs from wal-mart, and other stores, the pc is the only way to go. Don't be fooled in thinking the mac is not a pc or it's faster, it's using the same cpu, almost the same motherboard, same video card, same parts inside as a pc. You're just forced to use os x with no support from the majority.

haha i found a windows fanboy

neways macs dont get viruses or other bad thing pc's are plagued with. Most macs are upgradeable, cept for the mini which is hard 2 upgrade. u can put new graphics card inside the imac and mac pro, and upgrade hdd, and memory in the notebooks. u get more performance from a mac compared to a pc at the same price. the macbook has almost the same specs as the mbp, but with a smaller screen, slower clock speed, and no dedicated graphics card. the macbook contains santa rosa which is now in most notebooks of greater price.

Mac computers are pretty nice, with different priorities from PCs. The mac interface is really sexy, to sum it up. Many games, though are not on OSX, and you'll have to get a mac copy if it actually exists. Mac hardware is not inferior to PC hardware, as they run the newest Core 2 Duo processors, but not the fastest ones in clock speed.

Mac creativity and media software is superior to windows software, IMO. It is incredibly fun to create your own music in Garageband, and windows movie maker can't hold a candle to iMovie.

Microsoft office is also alot smoother in OSX. I don't know about word 07, but the formatting pallette in mac word is alot better than the ton of toolbars in windows word.

Did I mention the interface is super sexy?

I do look at computers often and I have to say; DO NOT GET A MAC! PC's offer more power for the money, are more upgradable, if you are worried about security, which you really don't have to be, install Linux OS (if you do this go with Ubuntu Multi Media Center). Just go to Youtube, type in "Mac commercial spoof" or something like that. Those are as true as they are funny.

First, go in to your local software store, office supply store, electronic store and see how much software they carry for the Mac as opposed to a PC. Also, out of the hundreds of scanners, printers, network devices, etc. available at these stores, see how many of them work with a Mac. You should probably also do price comparisons for Mac vs. PC peripherals since Mac ones tend to be higher.

They are great machines running a tough/good OS. However, they are a tad pricey.

They are good low-maintenance machines.

I personally have never owned one due to price, and since I find PC based systems inexpensive (and I run linux for free instead of paying for OSX) I wouldn't do it. But for anyone else, I'd recommend a Mac over a PC any day of the week.

WinPCs are nightmares.
