Hey,

I live in Orlando Florida, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any OPEN casting calls for teenagers. I am 14, won't be 15 until november, 5'9, african american, and slender. If you have any ideas, please let me know. I am interested in something for Disney Channel, but I am also VERY open to other ideas.

Thank you :]

Your best bet is to get an agent, but I will list a few ways to find auditions on your own as well. Besides going to auditions though, you need training. Get into some classes and get into some theatre productions.

If you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to Sag.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions.

Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview.

Once you have an agent, they will get you the auditions, but until then you can check out actorsaccess.com. You can also see if your state has a film alliance. Sometimes they post audition information for projects filming locally. For theatre, you can go to backstage.com or http://www.actorsequity.org/castingcall/... If you find the audition on the Equity site, you still may be able to go, as long as their not taking appointments from equity actor's only :-) On backstage.com you have to pay to get all of the info, but the initial search is free and you may be able to see enough info to find out the rest on your own without paying.

Good luck!

If you have never studied acting you should find a teacher or a class. Enroll in an acting class.

To be a Disney actor you should have started acting at a very young age, like Britney Spears and Raven Symone.

They started acting at a young age and are now Disney stars. Disney is in Los Angeles.

They want actors that have worked for years on television and movies.

Unless you have a LOT of acting experience, an agent will not work with you.

Agents work with actors that have been performing many years, especially performing in commercials and television.

Britney Spears and Raven Symone GREW UP on TV as actors, you did not. Ask your parents to help you find an acting teacher so you can learn correct acting technique when you start to audition.

You cannot get on the Disney Channel, so forget about that.

if you live in Orlando, why don't you audition for Disney world? I am sure you can get started there. Good luck hon and I hope to see your name in lights.
