I've heard that you have to do it during an event, but how do you know when the events are happening. I mean, I've looked at the sites but i haven't found anything about when the events are. Also, how do you get a mystery gift when an event comes up. If someone could tell me the steps, that would be great.

1. Go to Jubilife City and go to the TV Station.
2. Go to the last floor and talk to the man by the girl.
3. Answer "Everyone Happy" then "Wi-Fi Connection"
4. Save your game.
5. Soft reset (L+R+Start+Select)
6.Select "Mystery Gift".
7. Select "Recieve Gift".
8. Select "Recieve via WFC".
9. Hope that you recive a gift.

Mystery Gift
At the Jubilife television station, talk to anyone you see. If you find the person, enter "EVERYBODY HAPPY"; enter "WI-FI CONNECTION" for the WiFi people. You can get Pokemon such as Arceus, Shaymin, and Darakai. Note: You must have a WiFi or DS wireless link cable.
I have yet to try this however. Hope it helps!
EDIT: I just tried it. Works like a charm, however the post is a bit confusing. The guy on the third floor will ask you for TWO opinions. For the first one reply EVERYONE HAPPY. For the second, reply WI-FI CONNECTION. And he'll enable mystery gift for you. He says to just stay tuned to the TV to receive them.

2. Search on google: enabling mystery gift for pokemon diamond.
3. You can get mystery gifts using your pokemon battle revolution.
