If you play guitar, how long did it take you to develop callouses? Just wondering since I just started playing, but I know that the pain is gonna be worth it.

I've only been playing for less than a year, I started having noticable callouses within weeks. Depends on how much you play and/or practice. I try and play at least an hour a day if not more, and my finger tips still hurt once in a while. Especially if I play for longer periods of time, say a few hours in one sitting. After a while, you don't notice the pain anymore. Just keep at it!

It depends on a lot of things. The more you play and practice the sooner you get them. But when you don't have them it's hard to practice a lot. So you just have to be patient. Don't try to build them up too quickly.

I think they took me about 2 or 3 months.
