On nintendo wi-fi what is the "enter the WEP key?

Its like a key that you would use to use your wireless network (kind of like a password) so only you and people who have that key can use your internet. For a more detailed explanation check the site out.

Since you are using the USB WiFi connector, I don't think you would be needing a WEP key.

WEP = password for the wireless connection. Most of the times you put one to keep secure you network.
