shake the wand once in a swish-and-flick movement, while repeating the following words: "wingardium leviósa" (don't do as Ron: he said wingardium leviosá and that's why the spell didn't work).

I assume you're playing the video game and may actually wish to ask this in the games section. The only one of the games I've ever tried was the first, and all spells were virtually impossible to cast using a tracball mouse.
