8 lots of 1 hundred makes 8 hundred!
(800)
so 2 x 100 = 200
3 x 100 = 300
and so on
or you could do 8 x 1 = 1 and add the two zeros on 100 and you get 800

Its 800 because x by 100 is similar to x by 10 but instead of adding one zero on the end you add 2
