The "d" is so silent as to be unheard by all but the most sensitive of ears. There was a German Chancellor, back in the 1960's I believe, named Willy Brandt, and I recall his name used many times on the news and it was ALWAYS pronounced "Brant", so, that's all I know. Hope I've been of some help. God Bless you.

Isn't there a product line named DR. BRANDT? I personally like the name Brent, so I would pronounce it as if it were Brent., or you could also pronounce it as "Brant"

Just like saying Brant, I think the 'd' is silent....
I know a guy named Jordan Brandt, and it sounds like 'brant'.

If pronunciation at first glance is difficult, it's not the best choice for a kid's name: he'll have trouble in school about it forever. So you'd better have some good reasons for giving a kid a cumbersome name.
Brandt ain't tough, but it's trendy. Watch out for trendy names!
