Okay, so from looking at this question and one of your others, I get the feeling that this creature is a shapeshifter who predicts what is going to happen via riddles. How about Paepheus? Combining the name a song sung about one Greek god and the name of another Greek god here, Apollo and Morpheus.
Apollo was a god of many things including Apollo was the god of music, prophecy, medicine, archery, poetry, light, and plague. A paean is a song that is sung in his honor.
Morpheus was the god of dreams. He was charged with shaping a pesron's dreams. His name even means "he who forms or molds"
Neither are actually evil, but elements of both seem to fit. The riddles telling folks what will happen are prophecy, thus Apollo. And when people say they've seen ghost, most folks say their imagining things. Well, the first two definitions for dream are:
"1. imaginings while asleep: a sequence of images that appear involuntarily to the mind of a sleeping person, often a mixture of real and imaginary characters, places, and events
2. waking imaginings: a series of images, usually pleasant ones, that pass through the mind of somebody who is awake"
So if a dream is something imagined, and folks claim people imagine ghosts, then Morpheus also seems to fit. Plus Morpheus fits again as he is a shaper or molder of dreams, fitting your creature taking the form of the various toys.
Thus I'm suggesting Paepheus as the name.

I would suggest staying away from cliched names (including dark anything, deathly whatever, etc). They tend to show less creativity than if you were to create a new word, name, or title for the monsters, and can quickly turn-off readers.
That said, if you're dead-set on having a stereotypical name, you could try Seventh Sanctum's generators for darkness-related creatures and activities, here: http://www.seventhsanctum.com/index-dark.php
Good luck. ^^
