That just about everyone has their "Five Moves of Doom." Think about it, HHH(Pedigree, Spinebuster, running knee, knee drop to face, kick to lower legs), Kane (top rope clothesline, chokeslam, bit boot, uppercut, sidewalk slam), CM Punk (GTS, muai thai combo, running knee in the corner, bulldog, multiple knee lifts).

Now...I'm not saying that they only know these FIVE moves, it just seems like everyone has their pet moves and only pull out other moves during a big-time match. Maybe we should stop picking on Cena for this now?

I do wish Cena would expand his arsenal of moves beyond the shoulder block, 5 knuckle shuffle, and that wierd powerbomb that he does.

everyone has their own trademark moves, which makes the wrestler at hand more of a specialist

the walking on ropes, chokeslam, tombstone pile driver, and last ride is an example of another favorite wrestler with a slew of trademark, patented, moves to make the fans believe they got their money's worth that night

Yea all wrestlers do have thier own five moves of doom but they're more creative

Com'n Clothsline, Shoulderblock, Protoplex, 5 Knuckle Shuffle, and then F-U or STFU- BORING

Undertaker's moves of doom:(sometimes Old School) Snake Eyes, Big Boot, Chokeslam, Last Ride, and Tombstone- A lot more entertaining to watch

also it seems like those are the only 5 moves Cena ever pulls in matches
he's jobbing about 90% of the match and then hits those and wins

Honestly Cena's restricted move set is not his fault, it's a restriction that is put in place by the WWE, and it's booking team.

As some examples, look at some of Cena's early matches against Kurt Angle, as well as his wrestling in OVW as prototype. He shows a much more diverse selection of moves, and performs them cleanly.

As an alternate example, look at Rob Van Dam, and his restricted move set. Now go back and watch some of RVD's matches from ECW (Not WWECW) where given the appropriate amount of time, he pulls off some absolutely stunning moves.

By having the "5 Trademark moves of doom" it allows the casual wrestling fans know what's going on, and know "the end of the match is coming." It's a sad truth, but there is one side benefit, by performing the same moves, the wrestlers are very practiced at it, so the number of blown spots are reduced (unless your Randy Orton), and it reduces some of the risk of injury that wrestlers can expose themselves to (Removing the Vertebreaker from Gregory Helms move set)

Yeah HHH, Kane and CM Punk has five moves of doom but Cena only HAS 5 moves. Plus those guys 5 "moves of doom" are good and cena's are lame and a bit 2005. He isnt trying to be a rapper anymore so why do the 5 knuckle shuffle or saying 'You cant see me'?

Also if you go on wikipedia and look up 'wrestling definitions' and find 'Five moves of doom' they mention John Cena and (i almost fainted) Bret Hart!?!?!
Yes everyone has their 5 moves, but others incorporate different and cool moves.
I agree if we're going to pay out Cena, lets focus on his ability to sell moves (i could write a novel on how bad that is)

The only real wrestler who doesnt have 5 moves is The Phenomenal AJ Styles, he has (seriously) 42!

Yeah, everybody have 5 moves, but thier moves are better than Cena Moves!!!
Orton have
1: RKO
2: DDT from ropes
3: Inverted Neckbreaker
3: Dropkick
5: Chin/head Lock
They are also 5 But They are Great Moves!!!
