how can we believe in love at first sight?

Because, upon second sight we realize that this first sight was worse than if we were blind.

Because eyes are a window to the soul, therefore once you first look into those eyes of the one you fall in love with, its an instant soul capture. And what follows is the part where you go blind to all the things that would sever the bond of souls because you're in love.

That implies that we ALL believe in love at first sight, which is not true. Some of us don't even really believe in love. It's more along the lines of, "Mmm... he's hot" versus "I am going to marry him and bear his children because I'm lovestruck!" See the difference?

When people say "love at first sight" they are talking about physical attraction so you don't have to believe it.

Well i can only speak from my own experience when i first saw my partner and he saw me i swear to you our eyes spoke volumes, and i knew straight away i loved this man... he said he felt the same way too, before that when i was single and carefree i would have said love at first sight was a load of rubbish, but i was proved to be wrong it does happen.

You have to take into consideration that there is a difference between completely blind and legally blind.

hmmm!!love is blind cause WE don't see what the whole world sees,his faults and such!!
love at first sight......we haven't seen the faults that we will be blind to later!!

no u don't understand the meaning see when your in love you are blinded by there flaws and the things that you would only want to see in the person.
