actor then bush/bush jr then actor. I can see it know CLINT EASTWOODS name in lights! What would you do! I'd vote for him! Actors care about looking good. I think he would do the right things in office.

Republicans are really drawing water from a dry well anymore. Still floating names to see if they can get the US to forget the fact their Republican, for the last 7 years has done virtually nothing which actually benefitted the American People in any way. Can't you come up with ANYONE who isn't an actor? I know he was Mayor of Carmel for like 8 years, but this does not qualify him to lead this country in ANY way.

I just have a very hard time believing you have NO serious candidate to field next year? I mean, why doesn't Cheney run? Most VPs do (Bush Sr did, Al Gore ran and won, if you can count). Has Repubican credibility sunk so low theyre just willing to pass over this election by throwing us the same old bunch of rich white guys, and "maybe" Fred Thompson?

Seems sorta goofy that you all dissed John McCain so hard. He was the only actual war hero you HAVE and the message you sent to the country was, "Sure he was a POW, suffered and almost died for his country, but that's not what's important to us, we prefer a man who not only DIDN'T go to war when his country called, but couldn't even finish the obligation he did sign on for".

I hope you guys come up with someone credbile, otherwise Hillary can start moving back in now...

No. Although Clint was the mayor of Carmel, he is too old now to have the energy and stamina to run our country. Please no more actors in office. Let them entertain us that is all. We need smart articulate people in office. Maybe we should ask Tony Blair, now that he's no longer running England.

I would want to learn a little more about him and his policies but yes I could very much vote for him. The little that I know of he is no-nonsense and does not put up with any cr@p.

Also, not sure but I believe he dabbled a little in politics as a mayor of a California town.

I'd hope that he had good medical care, seeing as how he's 77 and would be the oldest president in history.

I would vote for him. Imagine the foreign policy coups we could have if "Dirty Harry" has his hand on the button. He did a good job as mayor. Why not?
