= 5(x^2 - 9)
= 5(x + 3)(x - 3).

5x^2-45 = 5(x^2-9)
= 5(x^2-3^2)
= 5{(x+3)(x-3)}
= 5(x+3)(x-3)

lets factor out a 5
that leaves 5(x^2 - 9)
5(x - 3 )(x + 3)
