No, because even a Jedi can only kill one or two peeps at a time. Mass Destruction means a weapon than kills thousands at once, such as a nuclear warhead. A light saber can not kill thousands at one time, therefore it is NOT a weapon of Mass Destruction. good question though :-)

A weapon of mass destruction is a weapon that can cause a least 100 dead all at once, a light sabre would be classified under the sword category.

No, they would not be considered weapons of mass destruction. They would be classified the same as swords and other hand weapons.
