I have seen the majority of the generalizations you have listed used here, on Y!A time and time again. I have also seen just as many generalizations of the same ilk made against conservatives here on Y!A. People who use these phrases, for the most part, are doing so to incite the "other" side and attack those who disagree with them. I do not believe anyone who must resort to this type of behavior has the intelligence to affect American politics in any positive way. These are the people who would rather see our country go down in flames, than admit that the other side may be right on occasion. When you blind yourself to other points of view, you run the risk of inhibiting your own intellectual growth.

They will never stop. Why? The internet gives you anonymity. Yes, maybe you can be tracked down if someone really wants to find you, but unless you provide a picture, description and address, you probably never have to worry about being called to account by anyone.
There is an old saying that being a moral person is doing the right thing even when no body is looking. Well, on the internet no one is looking. Even if I get banned from a site, I can just create a new log in or go to a differant website. No real repercussions. And looking around, it seems a whole lot of people aren't all that moral.
I would bet you money that 80% of the vilest, most offensive posters here would never dare say anything half as bad as their posts to another person's face. That might get them slugged.
Me, I put my picture right there. You want to discuss something with me, you walk right over, I won't mind.

Listen... You're going to have to lighten up or blow a fuse. A very great deal of this stuff on Y/A is no more than banter. Take this stuff easy or it can drive you nuts. It actually provides a source of letting off steam to some who take it more serious. If you've started having serious problems then get off of this for awhile. We love you.

Usually the YA forum is more a way some folks blow off steam but others tend to say things here they would not say in one-to-one contact. It maybe well for you to stop getting on this website until you get the idea that evey one needs a release. YA might be one for them!

Hmmm...
Well, did you know that ALL liberals say that ALL conservatives are a bunch of religious nut cases, Jesus freaks, war mongers, hypocritical, racists who are trying to usher in a new dark ages? Oh yeah, and they are scary too. Boo!
(My point is that generalization occurs on both sides of the aisles by making a generalization.)

It's a far right tactic since the eighties to demonize liberals.Be accusing them of those things they don't have to deal with the very real, urgent and intelligent positions liberals bring forward

as to the why, these people say these things because they are told to by Limbaugh and Hannity and others like them. They have learned this from Conservative hate radio.
It will go on as long as there is Conservative Hate radio telling them what to think and what to say.
