I think it's a misprint.

If it's not, then he really should consider not cleaning his foot with a gun.

Don't you wear a gun in your holster while cleaning your feet?
I can see how it might happen .. safety off, holster open, hammer gets caught on the chair/clothing .. something like that. Odds are that it's a misprint, but you never know. Poorly written headline either way

Not a miss-print, you would be surprised how many people shoot themselves when cleaning their gun!
