I'm looking to get a Laptop to run WoW when I go to college and while I'm sure on the CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo 1.73Ghz-2.0GHz; haven't decided exactly yet) and the Ram 2GB, I'm having some trouble finding a computer with a good graphics card to run it smoothly.

Basically right now I'm looking at these different computers but If anyone has any suggestions over an above these (Preferably below $1300) I'd love to hear about them.

HP $1299 (Instore)
-17'' screen
-2GB Ram
-1.73Ghz Intel Core 2 duo
-256MB Nvidia 7600
-Vista Premium

Dell 1420 $1224 (Online order)
-14.1" screen
-2.0Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
-2GB Ram
-128MB Nvidia 8400M
-Vista Basic

Here are some good choices- fortunately WoW has pretty modest hardware requirements, it runs fine on fairly low-end video cards - you don't need an 8000 series Nvidia for that.

Of the two you've listed, forget the Dell. Vista Basic doesn't even have Aero, and 128mb of video memory is paltry. The DX10 support is a red herring since no games use it yet.

Even a Radeon X1300 or Geforce 6600 is fine for WoW (although if you went to a different online game like Vanguard or Age of Conan, you'll need better hardware)

Here are some other laptops to look at::
