Ran like a charm last 2 days. Today used it a little, ran out of gas and now I can't get it to fire back up. Pulled plug and air filter & cleaned them both. Have spark at plug. Only difference when I ran out of gas today was that I was cutting horizontal, not vertical. Don't know if that makes a difference. Any suggestions? If not I'll have to take it in tomorrow. Thanks.

If you have an stihl 036 must be a few yrs old,I will recomend replaceing fuel line and in take felt filter.also check and make sure you dont have a little water in fuel tank this will plug small stainless steel filter inside carb. sometimes you can remove carb and clean w/starting fluid blow dry w/air nozle.this will usually correct problem.25 yrs small engine repair.

Check the fuel filter inside the gas tank. You can usually hook it with a piece of wire and pull it out of the tank. They do get plugged up.
