I know!! Anything that happens with black people Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton can't mind their bussiness, but anything happens to any other race they are no where to be found.

Personally I do believe Jesse Jackson is doing the right thing. But I understand what your saying. Imagine the out rage if a city like Toronto or New York hosted the Straight White Parade. There would be riots.
Would someone like Jesse Jackson stand up and take part in that parade. Or when the people who marched were beaten down would he and his coalition come to their aid. Nope.
Again everyone is so busy promoting their cause that they don't see the bigger picture.
I have never seen anyone stand up for the rights of Chinese / Japanese Americans yet in WW2 they were arrested and taken to camp. Most never got their seized property back afterwards and some even die in those camps.
And I'm not saying blacks didn't go through hell in the age of slavery and still today. What I'm saying is if your going to call yourself the Rainbow Coalition then you should be looking at effective changes for everyone no matter what race.

Because he's a self serving hypocrite with an agenda like everybody else who doesn't have a clue.
I'd like him to come into my world as a Mental Health advocate in Michigan, I have personally been fighting with the Governor madam Jennifer Grandholm for years now and her nasty Public Community Mental Health? Recipient Rights Process system especially in Monroe County where there are Civil and Human Rights violations all the way to the US Justice Dept but I don't see Mr Jackson anywhere to voice for them...do you???
She knows who I am....Right????

I purchased that book last year and read it- only putting it down to eat or sleep. Interesting really the story behind Billie Jean, Another interesting thing is that Quincy Jones banged heads with Michael over the title of the song as QJ didn't quite like the titile "Billie Jean" because there is this popular tennis player Billie Jean King people might confuse for. But MJ was adamant about the title, and it became the most danced tune around. That was the kind of artist that he is, that stroke of genius!

There is not enough time in the day for him to defend every culture...he only has time for his own struggling minority...

Why dont one of you guys become the next white MLK ...stand up for the white man..white power...get the spine to make a difference ..why does jessie have to stop focusing on his own? you want him to PICK UP YOUR TAB? black america has many issues and his time is booked. Although i do hear him advocating for the poor regardless of color..

Why cant Indians and Asians and Hispanics
and Whites have their own spokespersons that speak for rights and double standards ..

Why would you want someone to pick up the slack for everyone else. There are plenty of educated men of those races that you mention that should get off their behinds and start speaking up..

But really the hispanics NEED and spanish-speaking Martin Luther that will get them equal rights and fair pay..its their fight if they want it bad enough...

Blacks have proven they wanted the equality to the point that whites cant stand them now..but they somewhat have it..these other races better stand up for what is theres and demand it themselves! No free rides ..Jessie is getting toooo old to carry any other race on his back.

You probably wont. Believe it or not, I'm black and I can't stand Jesse or Al. There hypocrites who exploit black people just to make a buck. I don't think they truly have the black communities best interest at heart. You only see them around when something goes wrong. I've never seen them in my community donating to the shelters or handing out a meal to the needy. They can kiss my a**.

I'm originally from Chicago and my question is, who made Jesse Jackson a "Rev"?

I ask that since I've never heard him preach or teach the Bible.

I don't even know if he's a Christian or not.

From that quote you gave, he's probably not a Christian.

It may seem wrong but he set up the organization for African Americans. Although others go through non-equal situations, he feels that African American go through more.

I don't believe that everybody is 'entitled' to their fair share. I believe everybody is entitled to the opportunity to earn their share. But whatever, lets all stand around and hold hands and go through each others wallets and see who is holding out cuz I dont think I got my fair share given to me yet and would really like it soon.
