Until recently I was able to get a signal from my video card. But after a recent shutdown, I can't get a signal from my video card. I bought a new video cable but that didn't work. There are two DVI-I ports on my video card, which is an ATI Radeon x1900 XT. So far I can't get a signal from either port. Any ideas or suggestions on what I should do??

When I plug the cable in, I get a blank screen. It's definetly not the monitor because I tried the monitor with another PC and it was fine.

Is it possible that the DVI ports them selves could have been damaged someho?

You describe your problem as not getting a signal from your video card but does this mean you don't see anything when you turn on your monitor?

Or does it mean you are hooking up diagnostic equipment and are not detecting a signal?

Or does it mean your display reverted to the default adapter drivers?

It's pretty hard to narrow down your options without knowing what is wrong besides "no signal" and you don't add anything to that.
