I was wondering if the "Dutch cap" was still used today or was the condom used more?

I have used the diaphram - it's a bit messy but is a good alternative. However, it MUST be used properly otherwise it might not be effective. It also must be left in for about 5 hours after sex which is a bit inconvenient. I also experienced several bladder infections when using it so stopped. It need to be fitted by an expert - I would probably steer clear - it is not as effective as a condom or other methods.

There are probably still people out there using the diaphragm But the condom is definely more widely used than the diaphragm.

I don't know if it is prevalent, but I do know women still use diaphragms. However, a condom is always a good idea, the diaphragm will prevent preganancy, it will not prevent std.

I use both. I don't like hormonal birth control so I am stuck using these old school methods. I am saving up for an IUD (in America we pay for our own birth control. I don't know if it is the same in Britain. An IUD cost $550 USD)

As far as I'm led to believe, it is still used today.
