to be honest. i think all theories of the beginning are utter cr*p.... (please dont take any offense anybody!) whether its a scientific theory or religious belief- all of them have no explanation as to how something came from nothing- scientists say nothing exploded to make earth...
religion says god came from nowhere and made earth...
i agree with you- but am afraid there is no answer- and i suspect that there never will be

Crazy question... Crazy answer:

You make this world possible. It began with you. Your conscious awareness, type of intelligence, and how you pick up and process stimuli created this world you see. When you are sleeping and do not dream there is no world, there's not even a 'you', not from your unconscious perspective. For all you truly know, we are nothing but figments of your own imagination and this construct, this matrix, this universe is all you, buddy. Now smoke a coupla more and dwell on that one. :-)

Ultimately, it is a question that has no human answer as humans, I believe, do not have the comprehension to understand it. The universe is some thing that came from nothing. Think of a guitar string that is silent. That is what is before awareness: nothing. Think once it is plucked. That is vibration, sound, waves: something. From nothing comes everything, but what created it.... The closest answer I can come up with is the very self that is perceiving it. And since you are the one asking the question, that would be you.

This a a theory I would love to believe, but it is only a theory, a theory far better as far as I am concerned than the 'promises' in the bible.

In the begining (always) was thought, but thought had no experience so all it thought was nothing. given an eternity, if it is possible to think something other than nothing, thought would eventally think it.
So thought thinks nothing, but always thought has thought everything.
Thought imagines a world, and imagines creatures living in that world, and imagines, they believe they are real, and imagines they have free will.
Thought has always imagined this, but thought knows it is just thought, whereas we think we are real, because thought imagined us believing that.
When we die we remember that moment before life which had been forever when we thought but only thought nothing, we recall finding that speck of dust in infinity which led to our life, and we can remember every moment of it. We can think up imaginary worlds, and we can populate these worlds with people or living coca cola tins. We create these living things with thoughts which previously thought nothing forever, they experience life, when they die, they can think something, they can create a world of their own.

There is no God, there is no life, there is no Earth, no Universe just thought, but thought can imagine anything, and imagine everything is real.

So for everyone nothing becomes everything.

Read the book The Universe In A Nut Shell By Stephan Hawkins. It will explain all this.

Don't trip on drugs and then think of philosophical questions. You are too caught up with words. Reality is the experience of the unadulterated now.
