seriously now come on!
i see so many posts of ppl asking what do you think of this and that name?
do you want your child to have ppl look at them like they are stupid for the name they have, or give them a wtf were your parents thinking naming you that look?
i worked in a payroll dpt for a temp agency processing wage garneshments... i would look at the names of the children of these employees and wonder what amount of crack they smoked to come up with the names.
male names that these mothers tried to make feminine. sticking a hyphen in here and there.
tourquoise, precious, dontavia, lavontella
what ever happened to normal names? when did making up names become a popular thing?
ok i vented.

i'm not angry, i could care less. i just wonder why names have gone from easy to undestand easy to spell and pronounce to - uh what was that again?
white black or otherwise everyone does it now.
let me rephrase- why instead of a more common name do you choose what you choose?

Okay the names you have given probably won't apply to the following but here it goes anyway. A lot (not all especially the ones you gave as an example at least I hope not) of the names that seem weird or unique or what ever you want to call it will in the future be common names. Names like Brianna or Liam will be known as old people names.

I think its because people get tired of hearing th same names being used over and over again. they don't want their child to be the 4th person in their class with the name Sarah they want something creative and original. I would never name my child something very out their but i would pick a name that isn't "over used"

I need to vent myself. Do you know how many people have said they knew someone or saw someone who named their child shithead or female, or orangejello and lemonjello, etc. You so lie and you know it.
check out snopes urban legends:

I know lots of people who say they have heard these names first hand are going by what a friend said they heard, and they may even believe it is reliable. Its not. sorry.

I agree we do give kids some messed up names there is a difference between pretty and messed up. And for the person who told her to mind her bussiness....this is a legit question I have seen many studies concerning names and a child future there are many Employers that judge and application by the name on it Lets be honest Angela Christina will get a call back before Mercedez Apple BE HONEST

I really think you need to be more accepting and less critical of people. Just because you do not like the names people choose does not mean it is wrong, stupid, or bad. All people are different. We have our own views, likes and dislikes. It is absolutely absurd to put people down and think they are less than you because they don't name their kids Johnny or Sarah because YOU don't like it.

I totally agree! They should rename kids with 'tardo names when they get to pre-school, so the other kids won't make fun of 'em and the teachers don't have to wonder about it.
Loved your story about "shatheed."
