Has anyone read the book and can answer that? I have always loved Hermione's character so if she is killed I don't want to see the movie. Is it true Hermione gets killed in The order of the phoenix?

Order of the Phoenix is the fifth book in the seven book series and a living Hermione will be in the seventh book. So no, she does not die in Order of the Phoenix. Nor does Harry, Ron, Ginny, Malfoy, Neville, Snape, Dumbledore, McGonagal, Hagrid, Crabbe, Goyle, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Lupin, Fred and George, Fudge, Flitwick, Percy, Charlie, Bill, Percy, Dean, and Seamus.

You should try reading the books as well, however, the answer to your question is no, Hermione Granger does not die in Order of the Phoenix or The Half-Blood Prince.

No, Hermione does not die in Order of the Phoenix. There are rumors that she will die in Deathly Hallows, but no one will know till July 21.

But, a deatheater almost puts the killing spell on Hermione, but Harry distracts the deatheater, forcing the deatheater not to finish the spell.

No, she doesn't, but she does get hit with a spell that looks like it kills her. She's fine by the end, though.
If you're a fan of certain people whose last names are a color, though, you might want to watch out.

No, she is not the one who dies, though (i think) J.K.R. said that there will be at least one person who dies in every book/movie after GOF
