have Leo's been a little miss interpreted?

i am not a big fan of astrology, but recentrly i came across one reading online and i couldnt help but read it, when i had a look through it and compared it to the other signs, i found that people born under Leo are rather unfortunate. every single sign seems to get a clear ability that is very usefull except Leo. e.g. i found aquerian's to be very good since they are clever, capricorn are hard working, Aries is a pioneer, sagiterius is a philosopher. but all it said about leo's was that they like attention and to be loved...etc i found these rather untrue and unfair about my self. because i dont seek attention nor i really care about what other think of me, as long as i am successful. i found the things they say about aquerius were more of the things i am than the things they say about Leo. and i am supposed to be 100% Leo since i have moon in Leo too. meanwhile Leo is ruled by the sun and up until the last century it represented technology and invention. i wonder what has changed?

i cant say i belive in what my horoscopes say because lets face it would bring me down to know i am not good for anything but to entertain people.lol.

basically what i am saying is that, what is it that belongs to Leo's and Leo's alone. the leadership quality is something that is shared with other signs as well, e.g. Capricorn. but i am convinced that Leo's are supposed to be inventors because thats what the sun represented before the planet Uranus was discovered. and what happened was astrologer ran out of ideas or abilities for the characters and chose to give aquerius the traits that Leo's had. that makes astrology a load of crap. (i did some reasearch on the history of the planets lol, i would rather know what i am talking about before asking a question). so my conclusion is that astrologers are people that just make money, they dont give people anything that is logical or real. am i right or not?

We can redeem ourselves individually, but some genralizations about astrology are true. That's the whole point, isn't it? To find the patterns? If we say that there are no patterns, then why believe in astrology to begin with? The key is to determine if you fit those patterns or not, what your own strengths and weaknesses are, and to fix your weaknesses and use your strengths. There are some negative stereotypes about Scorpios that are certainly true. We have a very utilitarian approach to friendships which makes it seem like we are using people, we can be short-tempered, and we are obstinate. I am guilty of all of these. Many Scorpios also deal with jealousy issues and self-righteousness. I have been guilty of these in the past, but I have worked on these over the years and am much better now in these categories. Additionally, we are accused of wanting to seek revenge and many Scorpios are guilty of this. I personally am not as I believe karma will take care of things. Perhaps I am just a more evolved Scorpio (eagle) or there is something else in my chart that makes me believe this. But I do know revenge-seeking is considered a typical Scorpio trait for a reason. And then there is the issue of sex. We can be sex-crazed, but I am very religious, so I am very controlled in this regard. But my first bf was a Scorpio and he was sex-crazed, so I can see how that may be true. If we don't harness our self-control or if we don't have religion in our lives, we can become addicted to sex. Anyway, as I said. I can redeem myself, but that doesn't mean we should throw all astrological generalizations out the window. There's a reason why Leos are considered attention-mongering, Geminis are considered two-faced, and Sags are considered sexually loose. Just because you aren't doesn't make these patterns and generalizations false. Also, if you take into account a whole chart, you can usually see why some sun-sign generalizations don't apply to certain people. Or people just grow up and mature, which is normal. The key is to not generalize others before knowing them. Use astrology to understand behaviors that people are already exhibiting. Don't pin behaviors onto people who have not demonstrated them yet. Astrological patterns should be used to understand, not to pigeon-hole and judge.

The notion of the single aspect of the sun sign taken by itself is pretty useless. This is true for all. Reading and traits based simply on the sun sign is like looking at the spare tire of an automobile to estimate the condition of the other four tires. To get any kind of really useful reading sun, moon, Venus, mars, mercury, and rising sign must all be considered. Sun is the ego with is defined as the body. Leo body often has physical heart troubles which is on thing that can be said from this single aspect.

Leos are creative. They are leaders. They inspire and encourage and like to bring people together. They are warm and hearty. When you are down, you need a Leo to lift you up. Obviously they have their negative side - they can be self-centred, even self-absorbed. They can be a bit oblivious to the needs of others on an emotional level, but they are loyal to the end and they are great providers.

They are strong and proud and if I had to pick 5 people to be stuck on a desert island with for ever I'd want at least two of them to be Leo's!

You have to be wary of one-sentence descriptions of sun signs. Especially if you are a Leo, as it could just hurt your pride. Why do you think it's a 'Pride of Lions'?!

i have been dating a leo for almost 2 years.. Every leo i have met friends and boyfriends are very goal oriented, they know what they want and they get it! Mainly out doorsy with a great body LOL. passion for music is a big thing to! They are strong-minded and when they say they are right know one can tell them different. i think any thing a leo puts their mind to weather it be in politics, sports, communications they will do their best.. i find leos are more into material objects and get along great with aries.. i am not that big into astorlogy, like how they say this is going to happen to you but the way the descibe a leos personality compared to an aries is true..

I am an Aries and I love Leo's - they are in fact quite similar as we are both fire signs and extremely compatible - we are also compatible with Sagittarius - that's my boyfriend and we get on like a house on fire. Leo's are extremely competitive, hard working and successful - I have never met a Leo that is not any of these!. My dad is a Leo. It is true, they like attention (not as much as Aries who crave it!), they are the kings of the jungle and they want to be looked up to and admired. Don't be down hearted - it always says about Aries that we are never lucky in love - that used to really get on my nerves (mainly because it was quite true!!)

Im a leo. I guess i do seek attention. but in a good way. Im an actress. and love being on the stage and having people cheer for me.
I also love BEING loved. by my boyfriend anyway. but i agree with you on the note that i couldnt give a toss wot others think of me.

Am not a leo but have friends who are. People who are leos have excellent leadership qualities and determined and strong. Apart from that they can be fun to be with and become friends you can count on. I think those are good qualities to have in a person. Horoscopes don't shape our lives as a person. Its whats inside us that makes us who we are.
