I have two different monitors one is HP, and the other is a widescreen westinghouse.

I use the widescreen, because its newer, but I guess cheaper.

But earlier when I was on it, I noticed that words and stuff and like a shadow to them and it was kind of fuzzy so I went to see if maybe the settings got messed up and when I went to properties, settings.
A message pops up and says.

Invalid Display Settings:
The current selected graphics driver can not be used. It was written for a previous version of Windows, and is no longer compatible with this version of Windows.

The system has been started using the default VGA driver.

Please contact your hardware manufacturer to get an upgraded driver, or select one of the Microsoft provided drivers.

When I went to that and tried to change the settings it shut off, when i turned it back on, it would stay on for about 5 seconds then shut off again.
I have a ATI Radeon Series 9200 graphics card.
I just got it like 2 months ago.

yes I reinstalled/formatted my computer with new windows, but that was almost a month ago, and I never had this problem.
The HP monitor works just fine, but I still get the error message.

Go to the ATI web site and download the latest drivers for your card and operating system mix.

Uninstall the old ATI drivers first, then install the new drivers.

The default VGA driver referred to isn't being used for your video card, it's being used by your monitor.

Install the drivers for your widescreen which I am guessing is not the original monitor you began with.

Set your screen resolution to match the maximum resolution of your widescreen.

If you installed Windows Vista, your monitor and video drivers may not work right.

Revert to XP if nothing is working for you.
