What happens to Spiderman? Does he die or does he live on with MJ to have a daughter that becomes a Spidergirl? Does he lose his leg in a battle or something?

The "real" spider-man in comics is still going strong. There are lots and lots of "alternate reality" stories that have been written that depict possible futures where several outcomes occur. the Spider-Girl storyline that you are talking about stems from an alternate reality involving the children of most of the well known Marvel characters becoming superheroes (there have been about a dozen different titles for this reality but Spider-Girl is the only one that is still being published). Another series called "Spider-Man: the Final Adventure" had Spider-Man and MJ move to Portland so that they can raise their unborn child and Spider-Man eventually lost his powers in the end becoming a normal human.

currently in the comics Spidey is married to MJ and has reveled to the world that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. The comic Spidergirl takes place in a possible future. Spider-Man does have only one leg there and Spidergirl is his and MJ's daughter. But there are many possible futures. In some Spidey dies fighting aliens. In some he becomes wanted by the police and killed. So his ultimate true fate has yet to be reveled.

In the current Spider Man comics, he is about to kill the Kingpin for shooting Aunt May. I am afraid that will be the end of Spider Man as a hero. It is like the end of the movie seven, if you saw that.

He will be a criminal, just like Kingpin then.

If they can get Spider Man to go against his moral code, he will eventually become evil, and then it doesn't really matter what happens to him, after that.

Some people say they like anti-heroes better than regular heroes, but all that means is they like bad guys. I am afraid for Spider Man. I think they are going to phase him out as a hero. I think that someone over at Marvel does not want noble, moral heroes any more.

It's a sad day for us all.
