Yeah. A shooting in the parking lot of a Popeye's Chicken in Austin, TX. A man who we'd just walked by on our way into the place was using the payphone right by the door and got shot in the upper right shoulder/his back. It could've easily been one of us. He got shot right after we walked by. My husband helped the man til the cops and ambulance came, and of course we were interviewed...We got a bunch of Popeye's coupons from the store manager. There were no t.v. cameras. I don't even think we saw it on the news that night.

When I was about 17 I worked in one of those scary 7-11 and a guy I went to school with came in around 2 in the morning and he had dried blood on his hands and up his arms he bought a little milk and a cupcake. He just kept starring at me like he wanted to kill me. Next day I found out he had been arrested for murder, he was killed in prison. But anyway that is has close as I have come and I dont want to get closer

Yes--not a murder or anything. I once was riding in the car with a "friend" who happened to see the car owned by the guy his girlfriend had cheated with. (if that makes any sense) He suddenly stopped his car and jumped out like a madman and grabbed an axe handle and started breaking out all the windows and the headlights, etc on the guys car. I thought WTF??? It was over with so fast--he just jumped out, destroyed the other guys car, slung the axe handle into the back seat, jumped in and drove off! Then he just looked over at me and said in this really low voice "You didn't see a thing, did you , Sabrina?" All I could do was croak out "Nope". It was never mentioned again. As soon as I got back to my car, I got in and left. I made sure that I was never around that guy again except in passing.

As a former Police Officer many times. But most of the time it was while off duty ironically enough, and for some reason those were the most scary situations, like without my "magical uniform" to protect me, I could be in more danger.

I've been a victim of a crime, so I suppose by default I witnessed it as well.
