My dad got a new phone with Cingular (Iphone) and he had the Moto Q on verizon. I have the Razr with verizon and I want to use his Q phone. Can I call Verizon customer service to do that or do I have to go to the store? Also do I have to get a data plan because I just want the phone for the mp3 player. And does the phone have Vcast or the VZW ringtone applications like the Razr?

have ur dad call customer care (1800-922-0204) and have him do an ESN change on ur line. as for the PDA package u can either block the internet or stick w prepaid MB usage. if u block it though, u wont be able to receive pix. when it comes to Vcast.....not possible. see Vcast runs off of the Get It Now and unfortunately PDAs dont have Get It Now, so u cant download Vcast videos or ringtones through Verizon, but some customers download ringtones of of the internet.

not too sure about the applications but just get your dad to call verizon and have the service switched from your phone to his old one

i work for verizon....you can do it over the phone with cust service...or in stor....or through "myacct" online...i suggest not going to the store...you dont have to get a data plan...but its recommended...you have 3 options..pay as you go...10mg bundle of unlimited...and the features you are looking for are limited.

they will try to whack youfor $20.
