Raiders will win by a score of 17-10. Dominic Rhodes will catch a swing pass from Josh McCown on 3rd and 4 from the 8 yard line for one TD. The other TD will come from Kirk Morrison forcing a Tatum Bell fumble and Nnamdi Asomugha returning the fumble 48 yards. Janikowski will then kick a 52 yard field goal and miss a 49 yarder. The Lions only TD will be the first score of the game. They will go deep to Calvin Johnson on a play action bomb and CJ will go 63 yards for his first NFL TD.

31-13 Detroit. I know its a large difference, but John Kitna is a better QB than McCown is, and if the Raiders start Russell, you have a rookie playing in his first NFL game...Either way, thats an advantage for Detroit. Lions also have 1 Pro Bowl WR in Roy Williams...look, the Raiders had the worst offense in the NFL last year, WITH Randy Moss...how on earth are the Raiders going to score points this year?

Lions 49-28 over the Raiders because the Raiders r puttin' a rookie QB behind the worst line in the history, they have noone 2 throw the ball 2 cuz their wide recievers suck, and on top of all that they have no defense the Lions have decent offense bu tno defense so Raiders lose

Calvin Johnson will drop the game winning TD pass in overtime and it will be picked off and taken for a touchdown by the raiders. Raiders win 7-0 in OT

The Lions are better than the Raiders....but both teams will be hard-pressed to win a combined 10 games. I like the Lions in a nail-biter, 10-9, with the game being taped to be used by the Commissioner's Office. When player's are serving league suspensions, they will be forced to watch the game twice a day for the duration of their time in the "penalty box."

Raiders 16 Lions 3 The vaunted silver & black defense opens the season strong, with 4 picks and 7 sacks, and the Raiders O-line (minus Robert "crybaby" Gallery), is much more prepared. granted, it's just the Lions, but hey, a victory is a victory.

2-0 (OT) in favor of the raiders. The raiders had a pretty good defense last year, with an insanely bad offense. The lions have good receivers, yet still can't win or score.
The Raiders score a safety in over-time.

did everyone forget about Roy Williams. so you got roy on one side calvin on the other but wait there is still Mike Furey who led the lions in catches last season and oh did they pick up shawn mcdonald. The lions offense will be one of the best offenses in the NFL. So the raiders young good D still will have no chance. Oh yea if the lions want to run they prbably can do that too. Kevin Jones, Tatum Bell, and TJ Ducket. So I go with the lions 31-10. Shaun Rodgers with 3 sacks and a forced fumble.
