It really hurts to open and close my fingers (make a fist, basically). The bite only bled a little but there isn't any visible bruising, nor is the wound red or swollen.

could be a couple of things.

1 infection that hasn't manifested to the surface

2 injured tendons and other things without breaking capillaries.

just kepp an eye on it for swelling, and/or reddness.. if the pain does not subside in a couple days see a doctor.

hope this helps...

The tendons, muscles and ligaments of the hand are really tender. When they are injured they can be quite sore for some time. I would ice it, 15 min on then 15 min off (this is important to help deeper tissues get that cold compress) If it persists you can see a doctor. But if there isnt any bruising since yesterday I dont think the vein is bruised. More important, have you had a tetnus shot?? Dogs mouths are dirty.

Wash with warm soapy water. use antibiotic ointment.
The pain is very likely from injury of the soft tissue. It will lessen. you can use a cool compress to decrease the pain and swelling. If not better in a few days, call MD.

the bite probably hurt one of the many tendons in your hand. Use some advil for the discomfort, and if it doesnt' pass in two or three days, best have a doctor examine for damage.
Is your tetanus shot up to date?
