Well looking at what Red posted brings a puzzled look to my face. I’m a Liberal, a working father, gulf war veteran. I do enjoy hunting and fishing although I don’t have much time do as much as I would like because I’m very busy with work and raising 4 boys ages 13,10,9, and 6. I stand up for what I believe in and more than willing to argue the points of those beliefs.
Unfortunately sometimes I can become heated, I try not to become venomous. I try to remind myself that even though some people may not agree with me it does not mean they don’t hold the same emotional bond to what they find important. Respect should be given to those willing to not only voice their opinions but proudly stand up against those who don’t agree. This should be done from both sides of the fence.

Many people who choose to resort to childish name calling and the use of innuendo do so for the simple fact that they are unable to formulate a logical, intelligent argument to support their ideologies and beliefs. Others do it for the express purpose of baiting the other side into an argument which no one has any chance of winning. If everyone would just ignore questions designed for the sole purpose of inflaming those who hold opposing viewpoints, eventually they would go away. Personally I will not respond to any questions designed to get a rise out of the opponents, due to the fact that I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed individual.

It is so sad to see how so many on both sides are being so manipulated. Hasn't anybody ever heard of the most effective weapon ever used by the ruling elite "Divide and Conquer"! You are all just playing right into their hands by attacking each other. Hope people wake up in America and else where before it's too late!

As the old saying goes; politics is a dirty business.
And neither side has clean hands in this mud-slinging arena.
I pick my battles, try not to resort to childishness, and at least attempt to make a factual point.
EDIT:
Fluffy, excellent point. I do believe that is what they are seeking to do, and are so far succeeding.

The extremes on both ends are driving out the middle.
Moderate, rational people, the vast majority, quickly conclude that Y!A is overrun by the feces-flingers, and move on.

Sometimes it is just easier to attack rather than come up with something logical. And then there are some who are just beyond hope of ever having anything intelligent to say.
(This goes for BOTH sides)

People use this forum to vent their hostilities anonymously. Most would not dream of saying face to face what they say here. I also think it's unrealistic to expect people to be more civil here than some politicians are in public.

Liberals invented hatred through class envy. Now the monsters too big for them to handle, and the conservatives have to save them from themselves and the Republic as well.

Liberals are pansies and won't fight back, that's why. Conservatives are hunters, soldiers, and gun lovers, and libs are peace lovers, surrenderers, and tree huggers.
