Little league baseball is the one thing I miss the most about childhood...
its the things like big league chew bubble gum, sunflower seeds, and juice boxes (or whoever's mom brought drinks that week)....having at least one parent getting kicked out of a game per season...
played catcher so i loved throwing people out at third...Always wondering if the dominant pitcher on the other team was young enough to be in your league...
the batting cages....going out to eat with the team after a big win....trophy presentations....weekend tournaments...late games....early games....
checking out the girls in the stands from the dugout and or on-deck circle....getting you new uniform each season....a new set of batting gloves...
breaking in your first mit, and never wanting to get another....getting your own baseball card while posed in an unassuming position....but it was always fun and never had any worries except where am i in the batting order

Oh, heck yeah! I never played little league but we'd get together at the park all the time. We played baseball, wiffle ball, work-up, and catch and all the games. We'd often take stances like our favorite players and or play games with imaginary line-ups that would include a lot of the stars back then. Tore every pair of pants I owned until I was 15. Tanned so much people thought I was black. (REALLY!) Learned how to switch hit and throw the slider and take the extra base. Maybe the best time of my life.

Baseball was my favorite thing as a kid. It sucks being out of school knowing that i will probably never get to play my favorite game competively any more. Playing in the outfield making a great catch or at 3rd making a great stop. I miss those days soo much

I remember when I started Little league at age 8, 32 years ago. I tried to pitch, didn't work out well so I switched to catcher where I played the rest of my baseball career.
