need to add an elect. brake controller to an '06 trailblazer, where is the harness plugin under the dash?

i am trying to hook up an elect. brake controller for a camping trip. i was told there was a plugin under the dash of the vehicle that it would plug straight into. the guy told me what i needed and sent me what he said was the right part. it was a plug but did not match to the only plug that i found under the dash. is there more than one plugin under the dash? am i missing some thing else?

it is reeal easy to screw up the lights and wires in any GM car or truck -------------- please go to a shop that installs trailer hitches and get the thing done by a professional --- in the long run you may need a pro anyway ---- it is quicker and it is done and your vehicle is in safe working order --- I know it always seems better to tackle these jobs on our own <<<<<<>>>>>> but this is a safety issue that needs a pro...... and any way since you got the part it should be a reasonable cost .... .... ....
